INTERACTING BENCHES
Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White or Black?
The red penetrates into blue becoming purple. Black stifles yellow. Blue and black challenge and overpower each other. Red belittles green. The yellow and green embraces each other. How do you feel?
It is recognised that colour affects our daily life psychologically as well as emotionally. However, the association with colour for individuals can vary depending on various factors, such as culture, childhood experiences or simply, how a colour is labelled through time.
In my design I explored colour associations and colour behavior. Looking into colour theories by Josef Albers as a starting point and using basic colours, I experimented how interacting colours affect and distort our perception of what is real.
